At Barbara Hubert Bookbinding we enjoy practising the age-old craft of hand bookbinding. I have always had a love of books and enjoyed reading them, so it was a small step to want to “make” them. I learned the trade by doing an apprenticeship in Ingelheim, Germany.

Hubert Bookbindery offers a range of bookbinding workshops to beginner and intermediate looking to learn more about the craft. Some workshops include Japanese stitching, creating a hardbound stitched book, how to make a concertina album and creating a scrapbook. The aspiring crafter will learn about the basics of bookbinding, how important measuring, folding and grain direction is and the beautiful finishes available with case making. We have a wide range of high quality materials to choose from including beautiful chiyogami, hand marbled papers,colourful linens and good quality fabrics.

Lovingly wrapped
Just received notebooks from Hubert Bookbinding. I absolutely love them; they are beautiful. I bought these for presents but I want to keep them all! They were lovingly wrapped also and arrived very quickly to Dublin. Will be buying from Hubert again!
